PAMS
The original jingle company PAMS (which stood for Production Advertising Merchandising Service) has a super site with samples and a good history of the radio jingle. The WROV "Roanoke Radio" and "Rock of Roanoke" packages were from PAMS.
The Pirate Radio Hall of Fame
British Offshore Radio in the late 60s included Radio Caroline, Swinging Radio England and many other stations which competed with the BBC from ships. A great site, you'll find Jack Curtiss and Boom Boom Branegan here.

Steve Nelson (Steve Richards on WPXI) has done a great site which looks at the history of ALL the Roanoke radio and TV stations -- past and present. Including a great section devoted to Pixie Radio.
The Official Lendy's Web Page
Twig Gravely, with help from the late Leonard Goldstein and former Lendy's cook Pat Dotson, put together an EXCELLENT website that 1960s Roanokers will love.
