Ron says: "When I got out of radio I did a couple of years as a jock on satellite radio & started doing a little mobile TV work, which worked its way into mixing a lot of Denver national sports TV -- Nuggets, Rockies, Avalanche, Etc. Great money but it was LIVE TV and you can't fix any errors in post so I gradually made my way into local TV news (which is MUCH easier than sports) doing floor, robotics, tape, and audio mostly, at KCNC in Denver for 9 years.
Then I went over to the new FOX O&O in 2000 to put them on the air news "audio wise" for a couple of years. After that I totally freelanced doing a national weekly 2 hour show "BINGO TV" and quite a bit of produced to tape TV shows. I really like to be able to "FIX IT IN EDIT"!!!!!!
In 2008 I did the Dem National Convention which was about 11 days working for FOX NEWS doing stuff others could have done quit easily with less experience than me. But it was EASY work for me (after we set everything up for several days) and EXTREMELY GOOD MONEY [the check cleared a couple of months ago]. Long 16-19 hour days {one more day would have killed me} but I am happy now doing a few jobs a month and being semi-retired with my ever understanding wife Earlene. 2 boys married. 4 grand kids & another on the way in April. Talked with THAT son & now he knows why he has so many kids!"
